“Souvenir Views” a documentary short by newcomer director Begonya Plaza. Shot in New York and Barcelona.
“Souvenir Views” is about a young man, Marc Larré Miranda who influenced by the Situtationist Movement and Guy Debord’s philosophy travels from Barcelona to New York to self impose a “rite of passage” experience in order to challenge himself and evolve as a human being.
The unexpected September 11 attacks heighten the importance of Marc’s journey through New York and while the streets are filled with the exploitation of that tragic event, Marc turns to art, with the poetic cut-out matches of the New York skyline, he gives homage to the city he has come to love.
